Responsibilities:

• Manipulating and editing film and video footage using modern editing techniques the audience
• Taking a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
• Reviewing shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
• source additional assets for the video
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and special effects using various video software
• Create rough and final cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video media and effects
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
• Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present to clients and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video
• Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, film studies or equivalent.
• Experience as Video Editor
• Required Skill(s): creative, Artistic, Eye for appealing visuals, storytelling, Precision, Collaboration, Time management
• Professional mastery of video and audio editing software and programs
• Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
• Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects
• Excellent communication skills are required to have a solid understanding of project scope and implementation
• Hands on experience with editing software, including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightwork, Apple Final Cut Pro Corel VideoStudio)
• Hands on experience with Graphic and visual effects software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects
• Hands on experience with Audio equipment including speakers, headphones, recorders
• Familiarity with 3D composition, motion graphics and special effects
• Ability to work to a tight schedule
